The walkout declaration procedure for Arch open tab has been updated, the new process allows us to attempt payment capture for 5 days, while also making it quicker and simpler to pickup checks and declare walkout discount.
Follow the steps carefully to ensure everything works as intended.
- The first step is to go on Arch and attempt a manual payment capture. Use the "Arch orders" button on your till to open the Arch order list:
- Find the transaction, click "view" and use the "Capture payment" button:
- If the capture is successful, there's nothing else to do, do not follow the next steps.
- The next steps need to be followed carefully, this ensures that transactions stay open on Adyen, so that we can continue to apply capture request for 5 days
- If you experience errors such as "No funds available", the transaction needs to be declared as walkout. Go back on the till home screen and tap the "Walk-out" Button:
- You will be asked to enter a table number, it's very important that you follow this format: For a walkout on table 66, enter: 9000 + table number (e.g., 9066).
- Next you will immediately be prompted to add a check, in this example you must select table 66 and tap OK:
- You will notice that the till will automatically fill in the items of the walkout table and apply walkout discount:
- Double check that the amount to pay is £0 and complete the transaction by going into the payment screen and closing the check with "Online order" payment type.
